A new rock star is born

On November 15 2013 my daughter Krystin Melody Turk was born. It was an exsperience that nothing can ever compare to. Its like a high that's never gonna come down. I love her with all my heart. I hope she inharits my musical talents so I can mold her into the next top American super star! Look out America Krystin Melody Turks coming to rock your sucks off!

I Survived Bates Motel

      Every year around this time I usually go to some kind of spooky event. Wether it be a haunted hayride or haunted maze. So last night my beautiful girl friend and I took a trip out to Bates Motel in PA for a good scare. I usually like to go to these kind of things with a group of people but because of my busy schedule we couldn't find anyone to go with. So krystal and I decided to go with just eachother and let me tell yeah it was a great time with just the two of us. These hunted hayride things make a great date night. So if you plan on taking a girl out for a date and its the month of October try and keep Bates Motel in mind.

            Bates motel is an awesome event of terror. They have 3 different attractions. A haunted hay ride, a spooky maze and a haunted house. I've been to a lot of these haunted attractions but this one has the best props by far! The hayride was my favorite. Just like any haunted hayride they had actors dressed in costumes and make up that jump out at you as the tractor drives by but this one was specail. Thay had a amazing display of props and specail effects that you drive by that will have you jumping out of your skin. If they dont scare you they will deffenantly leav you in awe. My favorite part of the ride was the mine tunnel that you drive through. Very cool stuff and well put together. I would suggest going on a week night for its cheaper and there aren't any lines.No lines makes the mazes a lot scaryer because there's no one infront of you getting scared first. The Bates Motel's haunted house is deffinitly something to see. It looks like a real house and it sure is spooky! So if you haven't been to a haunted hay ride or maze yet this year, get off your butts and go explore Bates Motel in PA.

Wedding Band

          Justin Turk is not just a singer songwriter/music teacher. The Woodbridge VFW welcomes us back to do a 3rd show on May 10th 2013. Turk Music L.L.C and the VFW post 4410 has teamed up to make this night a night to remember. There will be free food, a 50/50 raffle and no entry fee. Now you cant beat that! The only thing you need to pay for is your drinks and a raffle ticket. You could end up drinking for free and still walk away with some cash! I know this post is a little late but the reason we are posting it now is because we plan on running this event at least once a month if the turn out is good. What up what up! Its me Justin Turk writing to you once again about my life. I got so much going on in this crazy little world of mine Right Here Right Now. Life always seems to amaze me with the curve balls it likes to throw at you. Like John Lennon said " Life is what happens to you, when your busy making other plans". I couldnt of said it any better myself. You can try and map out your life and plan for the future but you never know what awaits you. Sometimes you just got to go with the flow but remember to never keep your eyes off your ultimate goals. "Theres nothing you can do that cant be done" some more wise words by John Lennon and hes so right. There really is nothing you can do that cant be done. As long as you put your mind to it you can do it, you can be it and you can live it. So just be ready to catch what ever life plans on throwing your way. Even if its something you think may change your course just stay focused and keep at it what ever it maybe. Do what you feel is right but always listen to your heart.

Hey there all you beautiful people. I hope all is well in your lives. Glad to see you’re tuning in. I know it’s been awhile since my last blog and I’ve been meaning to do one every week. However I’ve had a lot going on in the last couple of weeks not just with the music but with life in general. I’m sure you all know all about that lol Ok so in this blog I’d like to give you guys some updates on what’s been going on.

 Recording

 

Those of you who are a part of my newsletter may already know this but for those of you who don’t I will fill you in on it. I recently was in the studio recording some new music for you to enjoy. I recorded 2 new songs, DANGER and TO LOVE AGAIN. These new songs are more pop based but still keeping the rock and roll soul at heart. I tried to draw away from the southern rock sound but you can still hear some influence. I feel it’s some of my best work yet so keep your eyes and ears open for the new release.

 
NEW EP coming soon?

 It’s been 2 years since the release of my latest record RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW and it’s about time I release a new one. Unfortunately finding the funds to do so right now seems to be nearly impossible. Luckily Thanks to the internet I’ve discovered an awesome new tool I could use to raise money with a little help from my friends. Friends meaning YOU!! Yes I need your help but I’m not asking for much. See I came across a site called www.kickstarter.com . I’ll explain it to you here but don’t be afraid to go to the site and check it out yourself. Ok so how it works is I set up my campaign. I set a goal amount of money I need funded. Then I set pledges that you can pledge according to what you want to spend. You choose what you want to buy, pay in advance and once the project is done you receive your package. You can donate from $1 up to $1000. $1 dollar would get you a thank you and a free mp3,$10 gets you the digital EP,$20 digital CD plus poster,$500 get you everything the others offer plus a free live performance for your next party and esc! Very cool system. I get to fund my next CD and you get to own it and whatever other gift I have to offer as soon as it comes out. Right now I’m in the process of filming the promo video. Once it’s done I plan on starting the campaign and I will inform you all on how to get started.

                                   JT right where and right when?

   Im always doing my best to book enough shows that are equaly spread out for you all to attend. Got some new local spots in Middlesex county NJ that Im excited about as well as NY. I will be keeping updates of these in my newsletters and on my website. My most recent one is In Brooklyn NY at a nice club called The Trash Bar. I will be performing there this coming Thursday Feb. 28th so mark your calanders and come join the party. Whats new with who?

      Turk Music co. has some awesome new ideas for 2013. The first thing we would like to announce is the recording of Justin Turks next single "Danger". Justin will be hitting the studio on Jan 30th, 31st and the 1st of February at Sound wave studios in Union NJ. Then once we find the right mastering company the song will be mastered and ready for release. Once the song is released we will be giving it away for free! So keep your eyes and ears open for that. Turk Music co. has some other songs that are in the process of being writing and recorded at other locations with other co. writers. The single "Ready to Party" and "Laws of Attraction" will be soon available on a demo disc along with the soon to be "Danger" track. Witch will also be giving away for free!

       Besides new music, the company will be working on some cool events for you all to attend. One of which will be at the Proprietary House in Perth Amboy NJ. Here Jt fans and followers will take a quick tour of the old hunted building followed by a performance by Justin Turk in the basement of the brick dome room. There you will enjoy great mellow music by Justin along with free coffee and treats. Maybe even get a little spook from the supernatural residents that live there. Another cool event that we will be putting together is the Live DVD show case at sound wave studios. There The Justin Turk band will be putting on a killer performance that will be filmed and released on DVD. The events are still in the works but please keep your self-updated on them.
